Women-Support-Group-Abortion

Are you experiencing the uncertain emotions of a past abortion?

It is normal to experience difficult and even mixed emotions related to having an abortion. Many women go through this and aren't sure what to do or how to process these emotions.

At PRC of Tracy, we offer abortion recovery care. In this program, you will be in a safe environment designed to help you navigate the complex emotions you may be feeling.

How to get started with after abortion care at Pregnancy Resource Center of Tracy

The first step to receiving the abortion recovery care and support that you need is to reach out to us.

Once you contact our office, we will connect you with our trained Client Advocate who specializes in abortion recovery. She will initiate a conversation with you and arrange a time to meet. We offer both one-on-one support and group support, the Client Advocate will discuss both options with you and make arrangements for your first meeting.

After abortion care meetings

All abortion recovery care meetings take place at our facility in a private area. Your support meetings will be completely confidential and safe.

You will be asked to complete a brief "request for services" form when you arrive, so please plan to arrive a few minutes earlier than your meeting time (for the first meeting only).

Your Client Advocate will give you a questionnaire to fill out, as well. This is not something that will be completed at the meeting, you will be able to take this home with you so that you have ample time to complete it before your next meeting.

Abortion Recovery Care is approximately 12 weeks. This can vary from person to person.

What is an After Abortion Care Client Advocate?

Client Advocates are what we call our staff and volunteer staff who are trained to meet one-on-one with clients. However, not all Client Advocates are trained for after-abortion care.

Your Client Advocate is trained like all other advocates but, in addition, she specializes in after-abortion care. She is not a therapist or counselor but she is trained to support you as your work through the emotions related to your past abortion. She can, however, give you a list of counselors and therapists that we recommend should you feel you would like to meet with one.

You can think of your Client Advocate as someone who is here to encourage you and has your best interest at heart.

Are you ready to take the next step? Fill out the form below and we will get in touch with you.
