Woman-Thinking-Upset-Unplanned-Pregnancy

Do you think you might be pregnant?

Thinking that you might be pregnant can be an overwhelming experience, full of emotions and unknowns, especially when you weren't planning or expecting to become pregnant.

We understand and we are here to support you through your unexpected pregnancy.

The first step, of course, is to make an appointment and find out for sure if you are pregnant.

We offer free self-administered, lab-grade pregnancy tests with quick results.

In most cases, you will know whether you are pregnant before you leave our office.

If you are pregnant, your Client Advocate will walk with you and help you discuss your pregnancy options. We can provide verifications for positive pregnancy results, on an as-needed basis. Qualifying patients may also be referred for an ultrasound

What to expect at your pregnancy test appointment

When you arrive for your appointment, you will be asked for your photo ID. You will be sent a mobile intake form via text message. So, please have your phone available. (If you do not have a phone at the time of your appointment, we have other options available.)

  • Bring your photo ID
  • Have your mobile phone available
  • Know your the first day of your last period (LMP)
  • Drink plenty of water in preparation to provide a urine sample

Your Client Advocate will listen to your concerns and help you through this stressful time.

How our pregnancy tests work

Our lab-grade pregnancy tests detect the levels of the hormone, hCG, in your urine and will show two lines if you are pregnant.

Negative pregnancy test result

If your test is negative but you still have reason to believe that you are pregnant, we recommend waiting for two weeks and returning for another test. The same applies if your pregnancy test result appears to be inconclusive.

There are various reasons a woman can experience symptoms consistent with pregnancy (for example, no periods) and not be pregnant. We urge our clients who have symptoms but are testing negative to schedule an appointment with their physician as soon as possible in order to get the answers needed.

Positive pregnancy test result

The next steps after a positive pregnancy test varies based on the individual. Some clients are completely unsure of what they want to do next, and others know exactly what they plan to do. Our job is not to tell you what to do. Your Client Advocate will assess your situation and offer any services that we have available to fit your specific needs.

For many of our clients, the greatest need in the initial appointment is a listening ear and compassion.

All services are free, confidential & judgement-free.
