Female-Client-Intake

Your positive pregnancy test may bring a lot of unanswered questions.

You do not have to walk through your unexpected pregnancy alone.

When you come to Pregnancy Resource Center of Tracy, you will meet with a Client Advocate who will walk with you as your consider your pregnancy options.

Your Client Advocate is trained to listen, support and give you accurate information concerning your pregnancy decision.

While your Client Advocate will help you consider all of your options, she understands that this is your decision and her care for you is judgement-free.

What to expect when discussing your pregnancy options with us

When you arrive at PRC, you will be greeted by one of our friendly Client Advocates or other PRC staff. You will be asked to show your photo ID and, if it is your first visit, you will be given a brief form to complete. We will also take a photo for your confidential digital file.

You will then be taken back to meet with your Client Advocate where she will ask you a few more questions to help us best serve you.

If you have not already taken a positive pregnancy test, this will be a first step before moving forward and discussing your pregnancy options.

What is a Client Advocate?

A Client Advocate is a trained individual that is assigned to help you and support you through your pregnancy decision, and beyond. She has been equipped to give you information, ask good questions and listen to your thoughts and concerns.

While your Client Advocate will offer you with compassionate and judgement-free care, it is important to note that our Client Advocates are not nurses.

Your Client Advocate can provide you with information but she cannot provide you with medical advice. If it is determined during your session that you qualify for our medical services, your Client Advocate can schedule you for an appointment with our licensed medical professionals.

It is also important to note that our Client Advocates are not counselors or therapists. If you are interested in seeing a licensed therapist or counselor, your advocate does have a list of contacts that she can provide you (along with other services in our community not provided at our center).

Your visits will always be free to you.

The services we provide include:

  • Pregnancy Verification*
  • Medical Referrals*
  • Limited Ultrasound*
  • Adoption Information
  • Abortion Information**

*Medical services are only provided by our licensed medical professionals.

**We do not perform, recommend or refer for abortions.

When you meet with your Client Advocate, she is available to help you explore all of your options before you make your final decision.

Abortion

PRC of Tracy provides abortion method information.

We do not perform, recommend or refer for abortions but your Client Advocate can and will discuss this pregnancy option with you. She can provide you with information regarding abortion methods. She will listen to you and help you by asking good questions as you explore the choice of whether or not to have an abortion. She can also refer you to our own licensed medical staff for any services we offer that you may need before you proceed.

PRC of Tracy can refer you to an agency should you want to make an adoption plan.

Your Client Advocate can discuss the option of making an adoption plan with you. While we are not a part of that process, we can and will connect you with a local adoption agency. We will even make our facility available for your initial meeting with the adoption agency, if that will make you more comfortable. We care about you and we will support you through this difficult decision!
