Can I Get Pregnancy Care at PRC of Tracy if I am Undocumented?

If you need pregnancy care but feel nervous about making an appointment, we want you to know that we provide a safe, confidential space, regardless of your immigration status.

At Pregnancy Resource Center (PRC) of Tracy we strongly believe that you deserve respectful, compassionate care in a safe environment where your well-being comes first.

Here’s what you can expect when you visit PRC of Tracy:  

Anything you share at our pregnancy center is confidential. 

When visiting our clinic, you can share however much information you want without fear of shame or judgment. You will never feel pressured to share more than you wish.

We understand that it might feel intimidating to reach out for help if you are undocumented.

Every woman has the right to safe, confidential, and free pregnancy care regardless of her immigration status. You deserve a safe space to share your story and explore your pregnancy options. 

You don't need insurance to receive pregnancy care or support.

We do not bill insurance or require any type of proof of insurance. You will not be asked for an insurance card or proof of insurance.

Quality care should be available to everyone, without the added stress of worrying about insurance coverage or payment.

When you arrive for your pregnancy test or appointment, we will ask for photo ID. 

This is only to ensure that your medical records remain accurate and are not mistakenly assigned to someone else. You can use a passport or any other ID with your photo as long as it has your name and date of birth.

If you do not have a photo ID, there are other options, please do not allow a lack of photo identification prevent you from receiving pregnancy care.

Your privacy is guaranteed. 

We will never share your personal information without your consent, regardless of your immigration status, age, or any other circumstances. Your medical history, personal situation, and pregnancy choices will remain entirely confidential.

Please note that in cases of suspected abuse or sex trafficking, we are legally required to report to the authorities. 

We are committed to protecting our client’s privacy and are not required to report immigration status to authorities.

You will never be asked for payment at our pregnancy clinic.
 
Because we believe every woman deserves access to high-quality pregnancy care, all of our services are completely free to you.

Our no-cost services include: pregnancy tests, pregnancy verification, first-trimester limited ultrasounds, pregnancy options support, prenatal vitamins (can only be distributed by a nurse in conjunction with a medical service), pregnancy classes, risk avoidance classes, body literacy classes, and more.

Considering abortion? 

We recommend scheduling a pregnancy evaluation appointment. While we do not perform or refer for abortions, this will give you valuable information about your pregnancy and help you make a safe, informed decision.

Spanish-speaking staff available.

You deserve to receive care in a language you’re comfortable with, and our team is here to support you without language barriers. We have volunteer translators who are ready to assist with your appointment.
